Our next workshop - Saturday 9th November 2019 - Suicide Awareness and Prevention
This is one day workshop for all therapists, counsellors and interested individuals. with Dr Andrew Tresidder
Dr Andrew Tresidder is a Somerset GP who now works on Patient Safety for Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group with an interest in Suicide Awareness and Prevention. The content for this workshop will include:- Suicide Awareness, Incidence, the scope of the problem in Society and Somerset. Mental Illness, Suicidal Crisis. Recognition and Exploration. Response and Mitigation. Safety Planning, Steps Forward. Royal Colleges Consensus Statement on Information Sharing.
The workshop will include discussion and group work as well as presentation of some material. The aim will be to support practitioners in their knowledge and skill set, and to contribute to a Safer Somerset.
