TAP Taunton Association for Psychodynamics

Founded over 26 years ago now, TAP (Taunton Association for Psychodynamics) offers an annual programme of diverse and stimulating evening talks given by people from a wide professional and geographical field on the theme of psychological understanding.  TAP provides a forum for professional and interested lay people to achieve a deeper understanding of the human psyche through a psychodynamic approach. Psychodynamics refers to the interplay of conscious and unconscious processes.

TAP Talks

Our talks are attended by a wide variety of individuals including, social workers, teachers, counsellors, psychotherapists, nurses, clergy, doctors and people with a purely personal interest.

TAP believes that we have much to gain from sharing individual insights developed in a variety of settings. TAP offers an opening for people in the Taunton area to talk and hear about relevant material, theoretical and clinical. It also acts as a channel through which we can meet people from further afield whose ideas and work are of particular interest.

BECOME A MEMBER OF TAP

TAP membership provides you with a year of free talks, an opportunity to be the first to hear about our yearly conference and discounts attending our workshops. You will also be able to promote your own workshops to our members. 

 For £20 p.a. you will….

  • be able to attend all of our evening talks free of charge (normal fee £5 per talk)
  • receive a copy of the TAP yearly programme of evening talks
  • receive advance notice of the annual conference and a full programme and booking form when they are issued
  • receive a copy of our membership list. Your own name, address and professional details will be published and circulated to all other members later in the year. 
  • NEW! receive a card entitling you to 10% discount at Brendon Books, Taunton

  • share occasional notices by email from other organisations in the same field.
  • be notified should there be any notices, eg. a change to the published programme.
